Hi all! I’m somewhat new to color theory and have been seeking to find my own seasonal color palette without spending anything upfront since I’m on a tight budget. I’ve taken multiple free online color analysis quizzes so far, but I’ve noticed that the results they give tend to be all over the place or pretty imprecise, which makes me question how useful they really are. Some say I’m a Soft Summer, others suggest a Deep Winter, and a couple just give common advice like “try warm colors”. It’s a bit disorienting since I was hoping these quizzes would help me understand which shades actually work with my skin tone and undertones.

I recently found this curated list of free color analysis quizzes that includes user ratings, so it looks promising as a more trustworthy starting point. I’m sharing it here in case it might help others in a alike circumstance: deep summer color palette . Before diving in, I want to hear from people with background—are there any free quizzes you would actually recommend that gave you valuable insights? Or are there common problems I should watch out for, such as tests that push you toward a paid version or quizzes that rely too heavily on lighting conditions or photos that can skew results?

Also, if you have tips on how to assess quiz results critically or ways to cross-check outcomes without paying for professional analysis, that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance for any advice, recommendations, or warnings—just hoping to find something informative without emptying my wallet at this stage!
